LEADERSHIP TEAM

Meredith Rothbart
Co-Founder and CEO
Meredith brings almost 15 years of leadership experience with Israeli and Palestinian NGOs. She holds an MA from Hebrew University in Community Development and a BA in Politics, Philosophy and Economics from the University of Pittsburgh. Meredith has addressed the United States House Committee on Foreign Affairs, the White House, the Delegation of the European Union to Israel, the UN Security Council and continues to be a strong voice for civil society peacebuilding. She lives in Jerusalem with her husband and children.

Ghadeer Sabat-Kort
Chief Operations Officer
Originally from the Old City of Jerusalem, Ghadeer has been working in peacebuilding for nearly a decade. She is an expert in managing data and overseeing systems and operations, skills honed during her experience with a variety of peace NGOs. Ghadeer holds an MA in International Cooperation and Development from Bethlehem University and lives in Jerusalem with her husband and children.

Ariel Markose
Chief Strategy Officer
Before joining Amal-Tikva as CSO, Ariel served as founding director of the Jerusalem Model for five years, building a coalition of diverse social entrepreneurs. In that role, she helped guide Meredith and Basheer in creating Amal-Tikva, and now leads strategic development and growth for Amal-Tikva. Ariel holds an LLB in Law and BA in Government from Reichman University, and lives in Jerusalem with her husband and children.

Natasha Voloshin
Director of Programs
Originally from Jerusalem, Natasha previously served as COO of Lissan, an NGO advancing equality in Jerusalem, where she gained expertise in program management and digital systems. Her diverse background includes roles in socioeconomic data analysis at Deloitte, the Jerusalem Institute for Policy Research, and Greenpeace. She graduated magna cum laude from Hebrew University with a BA in Political Science and Anthropology.

Sewar Uthman
Programs Coordinator
Born in Jerusalem, Sewar began her peacebuilding journey as a student at Hand in Hand School, where Israelis and Palestinians learn together, and deepened her commitment through her involvement in Kids4Peace, a Jerusalem-based interfaith youth movement. She holds a BA with honors in Psychology and Business and an MBA in Strategy and Entrepreneurship, both from Hebrew University. As a seasoned speaker on various perspectives of the conflict, Sewar contributes dynamic energy to peace initiatives.

Aliza Gold
Programs Coordinator
Prior to joining Amal-Tikva, Aliza served as USAID Compliance Officer and Shared Society Coordinator at Yozmot Atid, where she built networks and fostered collaboration between Israeli and Palestinian women entrepreneurs in mixed cities. Aliza combines expertise in dialogue facilitation and program development with strong M&E and reporting skills. She holds an MA in Conflict Research, Management and Resolution from Hebrew University.

Loay Rajabi
Development and Communications Coordinator
Originally from the Old City of Jerusalem, Loay is a psychology student at Hebrew University with six years of experience in peacebuilding and community engagement. He previously served as an Information Coordinator at Israel’s Ministry of Tourism, where he developed skills in public outreach. Driven by his vision of a more peaceful and inclusive future, Loay helps strengthen Amal-Tikva’s impact and engagement with diverse communities.

Rojeh Gharfeh
Research and Impact Specialist
Rojeh holds a BA in International Relations, Communications, and Journalism, and an MA in International Relations from Hebrew University. He previously worked as a researcher, focusing on conflict resolution strategies, and actively participated in three conferences on the educational landscape in East Jerusalem at the Truman Institute. With a strong foundation in research and analysis, Rojeh brings a strategic and analytical approach to his work at Amal-Tikva.
